Cracker Ass Comedy - Online Comedy Broadcasting. Cardiff

Many things have happened in this first week of planning the Wales Comedy Festival in aid of The Big Issue Cymru and after talking to the good people at Cardiff City Council a date has been set - 6th July - 14th July!

Firstly, The Wales on Sunday will be the official newspaper of the festival and will be helping us publicise the events. They also want footage of the Welsh comedy scene in the form of some five minute short films for broadcast on the IC Wales website leading up to the festival.

This will help people around Wales to begin to recognise the faces of Welsh comedy and keep them informed of the goings on in the fastest growing comedy scene in the UK.

The Hard Rock Cafe Cardiff is set to be the focal point of the festival with other venues such as The Glee Club, CF10, The Hawaiian, The Social, The Pen and Wig amongst others already on board in Cardiff alone.

If you have a venue anywhere in Wales or know someone who wants to take part then email me or have a look at the forum where the latest news can be found. If you are a comic looking for a gig at the festival or would like to take part in the festival's contest then email me or Dan Mitchell for more details.

We already have lots of comedians from all corners of the UK (and one from Ireland) coming down for the festival so you need to get back to us as soon as possible!
